Job Options File

Job Options files are used by Adobe applications to define the print or export presets when creating a PDF. Using our Job Options file will make it easier to quickly create PDF’s with the correct settings.

Please note, using our Job Options file does not guarantee that your exported PDF will be press ready. It is still important to carefully follow the instruction file provided with our guideline templates.

Adobe Acrobat & Distiller Job Options File

Install our Job Options File

Installing the Job Options file is application dependent. Please find instructions below to install the Job Options File in Acrobat Distiller, Adobe InDesign & Illustrator.

Adding the Job Options file to Acrobat Distiller:

Settings > Add Adobe PDF Settings.
Navigate to Distiller ISO coated v2 300%.joboptions and click OK.
The new setting should now be available to use in Acrobat Distiller.

Adding the Job Options file to Adobe InDesign:

File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define.
Locate Distiller ISO coated v2 300%.joboptions and click load.
The job options file should now be ready to use for exporting your artwork.

Adding the Job Options file to Adobe Illustrator:

Edit> Adobe PDF Presets.
Locate Distiller ISO coated v2 300%.joboptions and click Import.
The job options file should now be ready to use for exporting your artwork.

Export using our Job Options File

To export your artwork from InDesign or Illustrator using the Job Options Preset, please follow the steps below:

Exporting from InDesign using the Job Options Preset:

File > Export
Navigate to the location where you wish to save your PDF file
Select the Distiller ISO coated v2 300%.joboptions PDF Preset
Click Export

Exporting from Illustrator using the Job Options Preset:

File > Save As
Select the file type as PDF
Navigate to the location where you wish to save your PDF file
Save
In the pop-up select the Distiller ISO coated v2 300%.joboptions PDF Preset
Click Save PDF
