Wire Binding is a form of binding in which all pages are punched and bound using wire coils. We offer an extensive range of calendars bound with wire coils including calendars supplied with a wire hanger as well as calendars with an optional hole for hanging.

Wire Bound Calendars | With Hangers
Hanger calendars are constructed with one sheet of paper for each month. Both the image / photograph and days of the month are printed on the same sheet of paper.
The basic configuration is for a single sided front cover, double sided back cover and 11 single sided internal pages. This allows for a printed outer front and outer back cover, and one page for each of the 12 months.
As standard we offer these calendars with a heavier paper stock (inc optional gloss, matt or velvet laminate) for the front and back cover, and a lighter stock for the internal pages. All calendars are supplied thumb cut with a wire hanger to make them super easy to hang on the wall.

A5 Calendars are always printed and bound in landscape orientation.

Wire Bound Calendars | With Optional Hole for Hanging
These calendars are constructed with two sheets of paper for each month. The top sheet is generally used to display an image or photograph, and the bottom sheet is generally used to show the days of the Month.
The basic configuration is 2pp for the front cover, 2pp for the back cover, and 22pp for the internal pages. This equates to 26pp in total (24pp for the month pages plus a separate design on the outside of the front and back covers).
As standard we offer these calendars with a heavier paper stock (inc optional gloss, matt or velvet laminate) for the front and back cover, and a lighter stock for the internal pages. We also offer the option of a hole drilled in each page so the calendars can easily be hung on the wall.

300 x 300mm Calendars are square and are generally bound at the top.

Calendar Wire Colours
Wire Bound Calendars can be bound using either white or black wire.
The wire colour can be chosen during the online checkout process (this occurs after checking out / adding your item to the shopping cart).

Resources & Artwork Guidelines
To ensure your artwork is correctly set up, please use our Calendar Guideline templates which can be found by clicking here . Before using our templates, please read the “read me” file first.
- If you have selected for a hole to be drilled for hanging, please ensure you follow the drilling clear space area on our guideline templates.
- If you have selected calendars with a wire hanger, please ensure you follow the thumb cut clear space area on our guideline templates.

Artwork should always be supplied as 3 separate files. One file for the front cover, one file for the back cover and one file for the internal pages. Our preference is for all files to be supplied as PDF’s. The file for the internal pages should be supplied as 1-Up multiple page PDF.
(E.g. For a calendar with 11 internal pages, we would require the internal pages to be supplied as a file with 11 pages in order – not 11 separate files).

Artwork should always be supplied as a 1-Up multiple page PDF file, with the front cover as page one and the back cover as the last page.
(E.g. For a 26 page page calendar, this should be one file with 26 pages in order – not 26 separate files).

Wire bound Calendars inc Hangers require 10mm of Internal Bleed on all edges to allow for Binding.
This means all text, logos, calendar tables and important elements must not be closer than 10mm to the trim edge.
Wire bound calendars require 3mm of External Bleed on all edges. To allow for trimming, all background graphics/ elements which finish on the trim edge must also bleed a full 3mm to the external bleed margin.
