Preparing press-ready artwork for commercial printing can be confusing, especially if this is your first time. Please use this checklist as a guide before uploading your artwork, as it may help you save valuable time and avoid any unnecessary printing delays.
Before submitting your artwork, please check that:
Your artwork is the correct size and is imposed 1-up, not as spreads.
For folded jobs artwork should be supplied at the flat size (for example an A3 folded to A4 should be supplied as 2x A3 pages and not as 4x A4 pages). Please click here for further information and explanations on how to correctly supply artwork for folded jobs.
Your artwork contains correctly set internal and external bleed.
Your artwork is set using CMYK colours.
All rich blacks are set to C =20%, M = 20%, Y = 20%, K = 100%.

All fonts are outlined (converted to curves) or embedded.
All links are embedded.
Ink coverage does not exceed 300% (240% for uncoated stocks).
All lines in your artwork are at least 0.3pt and all text should be at least 8pt using a non-narrow, non-ultra light or non-thin style font.
All borders in your artwork are at least 5mm wide.
All images in your artwork are 300dpi when placed at 100%.

Artwork Do's & Don'ts
IMPORTANT: You need to carefully follow these instructions when preparing your artwork.
Failure to do so may result in artwork incorrectly prepared for print.
The red guide is the external bleed margin. All background images, colours, patterns and artwork elements which extend to the trim edge must also extend to the external bleed margin.
The black guide is the trim edge. This is the line along which your printing will be trimmed.
The magenta guide is the internal bleed margin. All text, logos and important graphics must be kept within the internal bleed margin. Any text or images that extend beyond the internal bleed margin risk being trimmed off during finishing.
Make sure all your text and logos are within the internal bleed margin, otherwise they may be trimmed off
Make sure all backgrounds/elements that meet the trim edge extend to the edge of the external bleed line so you won’t have any white edges.
Make sure your design is the right size or it may be automatically resized which may distort your artwork.
Make sure all borders are at least 5mm from the trim edge to avoid any uneven borders. (50mm for outdoor and pullup banners).
Make sure all images and rasterized text are 300dpi when placed at 100% so they won’t look blurry or pixilated when printed.
