We appreciate that your security and privacy concerns are important. This page tells you about our internet security and how you can check that we encrypt and protect the privacy of your credit card details during and after ordering.
Before PAYMENT information entered in the checkout system is transmitted across the internet, using RapidSSL(R) certificates upgraded recently to 2048-bit roots which is proven as secure for online shopping and e-commerce. This encryption method is actually more secure than providing your credit card number over the phone - something many of us do without hesitation.
There are several indicators of a secure web page. The first is the https:// prefix on the URL. If this is present it indicates that the connection is secure and encrypted. The URL is visible in the address bar at the top of your browser.
The second indicator of a secure page depends on your browser. Most modern browsers (including Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox and Netscape) display a small padlock or key in a lower corner of your screen. When this is closed or highlighted, the page is secure.
You can confirm the authenticity of our key by doing the following:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later: Double click on the gold padlock to bring up details of the digital ID.
Mozilla Firefox: Double click on the gold padlock in the lower left hand corner and the 'View' button on the Security Information panel.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4: Click on the gold padlock to bring up details of the digital ID.
Netscape Communicator or Later: Click on the gold padlock in the lower left hand corner and the View Certificate button on the Security Information page.
Once sent to us your credit card number is stored in an encrypted format in a password protected area until processed and deleted.
How we protect your online identity
Our websites take every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line.
When our registration/purchase system when users enter sensitive information (such as credit card number etc) that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry—SSL. While on a secure page, such as online ordering pages, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just "surfing".
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Employees are tracked as they must enter their password to gain access to user information. Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a high-security environment, heavily locked and alarmed at our location facility.
