Printed envelopes are a great way to present a professional and personalised image to your customers. We offer a large range of sizes in window and plain faced options, printed in 1 colour, 2 colours and full colour.
When creating your artwork, it is important to observe the correct safety margins (envelopes cannot contain external bleed).

Our Range of Envelope Sizes
DL Envelopes: Dimensions: 110 x 220mm
Secretive Wallet Style | Plain faced or window faced.
Printed on 80gsm uncoated bond.
Designed to hold DL sized printing (99 x 210mm). This can be in the form of DL finished sized items or larger sized brochures folded to DL size.
DLX Envelopes: Dimensions: 120 x 235mm
Secretive Wallet Style | Plain faced or window faced.
Printed on 80gsm uncoated bond.
DLX is an oversized DL envelope. This extra size allows for more documents to fit in the envelope and for easier and quicker insertion.
C5 Envelopes: Dimensions: 162 x 229mm
Non-Secretive Pocket Style | Plain faced
Printed on 100gsm uncoated bond.
C5 Envelopes are designed to hold A5 sized printing (148 x 210mm)
C4 Envelopes: Dimensions: 324 x 229mm
Non-Secretive Pocket Style | Plain faced
Printed on 100gsm uncoated bond.
C4 Envelopes are designed to hold A4 sized printing (210 x 297mm)
B4 Envelopes: Dimensions: 353 x 250mm
Non-Secretive Pocket Style | Plain faced
Printed on 100gsm uncoated bond.
B4 Envelopes are slightly larger thant C4. This extra size allows for more documents to fit in the envelope and for easier and quicker insertion.
Envelope Types
DL and DLX Envelopes are available in 80sgm uncoated bond
C5, C4 and B4 Envelopes are available in 100gsm uncoated bond
Plain Faced Envelopes:
Plain Faced Envelopes are available in all sizes including DL, DLX, C5, C4 and B4 sizes.
Window Faced Envelopes:
Window Faced Envelopes are available in DL, DLX sizes.
The window is sized 95 x 28mm.
The window is placed 32mm inside the left edge and 16mm from the bottom of the envelope.
All printing must be kept at least 5mm away from the window position. Please see the artwork section below for further details on setting up artwork that contains a window.
Wallet Style Envelopes:
Wallet Style Envelopes are available in DL & DLX sizes.
Wallet Style Envelopes feature the opening on the long edge, making it super easy to slide in documents. Our wallet style envelopes are available with a plain face or window face.
Pocket Style Envelopes:
Pocket Style Envelopes are available in C5, C4 and B4 sizes.
Pocket Style Envelopes feature the opening on the short edge. Pocket style envelopes are available in plain face only.
Secretive:
Our DL and DLX envelopes are provided in a secretive finish. A Secretive envelope has a pattern printed on the inside of the envelope so that it’s contents cannot be read when held up to light.
Non-Secretive:
Our C5, C4 & B4 envelopes are provided in a non-secretive finish. These envelopes do not have a pattern printed on the inside of the envelope.
Peel and Seal:
All of our envelopes are provided in the Peel and Seal style. Peel and seal envelopes feature a removable strip that provides a quick and clean seal upon contact. They don’t require moistening.
1 PMS Colour, 2 PMS Colour and Full Colour Printing
We offer envelopes printed in 1 PMS colour, 2 PMS colours, Black & White and full colour (CMYK).
1 & 2 PMS Colour Printing:
PMS stands for Pantone Matching System. PMS colours are standardized colours listed in the Pantone Colour Matching System. Each Pantone colour has a specific code which printers and manufacturers can refer to in order to ensure colour consistency.
- Colours need to be selected from the Pantone Solid Uncoated palette. A list of Pantone Solid Uncoated colours can be found by clicking here.
For a 1 PMS colour envelope, artwork must be supplied containing only 1PMS colour
For a 2 PMS colour envelope, artwork must be supplied containing only 2PMS colours - Microsoft Word documents and image file formats (except Adobe Photoshop) do not support PMS colours .
If you are unable to supply press ready artwork (or you are using one of these file formats), when placing your order please choose our Affordable Design Service, our friendly design team will then re-create press ready artwork for you.
Black & White Printing:
- Envelope artwork must be supplied in single colour black.
Full Colour Printing (CMYK):
- Envelope artwork must be supplied using only CMYK colours.

- Please keep in mind that on all envelopes, no elements can be placed closer than 11mm to the edge of the envelope on any side. Artwork can also not be placed any closer than 5mm to a window area (if you choose a window faced envelope).

Artwork Coverage
Envelopes with artwork coverage of 25% or more may incur an additional 15% surcharge.
Artwork coverage is based on the percentage of the envelope size (width x height) that contains printable elements, where printable elements are classified as any part of supplied artwork that is not 100% white
Less than 25% ink coverage
DL Envelope size 220mm x 110mm = 24,200mm²
Logo sized 56x20mm = 1,120mm²
= 4.62% artwork ink coverage
More than 25% ink coverage
DL Envelope size 220mm x 110mm = 24,200mm²
Elements sized 198x88mm = 17,424mm²
= 72% artwork ink coverage
